First, a quick THANK YOU to the Dickinsons for allowing
52 of us to invade their lives for the convention. We did truly
have a grand old time. The fishing tournament and the auction were
both brand new this year and both were well received! Thank you
again, Darol, Linda and family for your hospitality.
Join me in congratulating JIM JOINER on his new role as President
and JUDY BRENER in her new role as Vice-President. We also welcome
to the Board of Directors Harvey Blair, Jeff Jensen and Danny Meyer.
All three of these new board members are very passionate about the
BueLingo breed of cattle and the direction we need to take as a
breed to keep us current in todays beef cattle market.
As 121 of our current members are aware, the board decided to publish
a MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY each year in conjunction with the fall issue
of The BueLingo World . It was sent to the members with dues paid
through the 1999-2000 fiscal year. It will be sent to updated members
and new members as dues are received throughout the year. Also,
in each issue of The BueLingo World we will publish a list of both
new members and renewed members that have been received since the
directory was published.
Just another quick reminder, NO ADS will be accepted in The BueLingo
World without FULL PAYMENT having been received . This rule will
apply to ALL of us! Also, no member without updated dues paid through
fiscal year 1999-2000 will be allowed to advertise in The BueLingo
World .
In addition to not being able to advertise in The BueLingo World,
NO member without updated dues paid through fiscal year 1999-2000
will be allowed to register or transfer animals in the societys
herd book. GET YOUR MEMBERSHIPS AND HERD FEES (WHICH DO INCLUDE
BIF/APPENDIX ANIMALS) UP TO DATE!
Exciting things are happening in Arkansas with and for the Society!
We are getting ready to put all 3,852 currently registered animals
into a state-of-the-art computer system that will allow us to go
into the year 2000 and beyond. The most important information we
need from everyone right now is an updated list of animals currently
alive and well. Along with any registrations forms for animals you
have sold out of the society, sold for slaughter or to a feedlot,
or that have died. The societys computer needs to have the
most up-to-date information. Thanks in advance for your assistance
in this matter. Also, please return the enclosed card to the offices
as soon as possible.
THE BUELINGO CATTLE SOCIETY is going on the INTERNET! The board
decided to build a web page that would not only include The BueLingo
World but other information about the society, its membership and
happenings! Look for more information about this in upcoming issues.
Mark your calendars NOW for the 2000 CONVENTION June 16-18 at
V-3 Farms, hosted by Nancy and Rowland Vernon, Fort Smith, Arkansas.
We are looking forward to welcoming everyone here at the new society
office.
As many of you head into the fall calving season, I hope for only
perfect belts, no extra white and an excellent heifer-to-bull ratio!
Thank you all for your continued support of YOUR BueLingo Cattle
Society. Please feel free to contact the general offices if we can
be of assistance in any way.
